Daybooks and Store Ledgers:
MVHS has a small collection of daybooks and store ledgers from the Mahoning Valley area. Daybooks can be used to locate individuals or families in a specific locale at a specific time period.Among these are a set of daybooks kept by William Rayen after his move to the area in 1802. An earlier volume dates from 1796-1799 when Rayen operated a mercantile in the Westmoreland County, PA area.
