The Best Cookie Bakers!

The main feature is the highly-acclaimed Cookie Contest. Amateur and Professional bakers vie for the Judges Award as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division. Other categories include Best Decorated Cookie, Best Use of a Unique Ingredient, Best Cocktail Inspired Cookie, and Best Traditional Cookie, as well as recognition of the Oldest and Youngest Baker.

Your involvement as a Cookie Baker will help make this celebration complete. It’s a great opportunity to showcase a unique Valley tradition as well as support the Historical Society’s mission.

Nothing says “Youngstown” like the cookie table. Born out of necessity by immigrant families who could not afford a wedding cake, this tasty tradition has been handed down for generations in the diverse ethnic community that is the Mahoning Valley. Cookie Table and Cocktails, the signature fundraising event for the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, was created to pay tribute to this beloved custom. Now in its eighth year, Cookie Table and Cocktails has become the “can’t miss” event of the season.
