Nothing says “Youngstown” like the wedding cookie table. Born out of necessity by immigrant families who could not afford a wedding cake, this tasty tradition has been handed down for generations in the diverse ethnic community that is Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
Cookie Table and Cocktails, MVHS’ signature fundraising event, was created to pay tribute to this beloved custom, and provide needed support for Historical Society programs, projects, and collections.
