Learn about the earliest inhabitants of the Mahoning Valley! A museum educator presents hands-on artifacts relating to the culture and daily lives of the Eastern Woodland Indians who occupied the Mahoning Valley. This program is best suited for Second Grade and above and is one hour long.

Explore the Ohio Frontier! A museum educator presents historical information and stories relating to the lives of the early pioneers who settled in the Mahoning Valley between 1796 and 1830. This program is best suited for Second Grade and above and is one hour long.

Old Fashioned School Day
Turn your classroom into a one room schoolhouse! A museum educator presents historical information and stories about school in the 19th Century complete with McGuffey Readers, slates, and quills! This program is best suited for Second Grade and above and is one hour long.

Story Telling
Bring history to life with your students! MVHS has a wonderful historical children’s library and we’d be happy to tailor a story telling program for your class. Just let us know what you are learning about and we will organize a program complete with activities and lessons. This program is best suited for Pre-K through First Grade and is 45 minutes long.
