Available for weddings, social or corporate events, birthdays, retirement parties, company retreats, the Tyler History Center provides you and your guests with an unforgettable experience as well as the opportunity to support the Historical Society’s educational programs and exhibitions.

The facility fee is very reasonable and includes setup and staffing. Special discounts are available for MVHS members and non-profit organizations.

The Paul & Marguerite Thomas Ballroom is a beautifully appointed, traditional ballroom featuring a wall of windows with views of YSU campus and Youngstown’s North Side. For a banquet or dinner party, it seats 140 with room for a dance floor, or up to 160 in a tighter table arrangement.  Theatre-style, we can arrange 200 seats with a screen.  The Thomas Ballroom is available for both daytime and evening events.  Rental of the ballroom includes tables and chairs, use of the kitchen, the Hynes Mezzanine with bar and restrooms, set up, staffing, parking and security.

 Wedding $1,750
 Friday or Saturday Evening Event $1,300
 Sunday-Thursday evening $800
 Daytime (ending before 5pm)
Minimum 5 hour rental
$100/hour
