In recognition of Women’s History Month, join a panel of speakers to explore women's relationships to industrial and millwork from a historical perspective. Panelists will discuss women’s roles from their initial support of male workers to their lives as the spouses of mill workers, and finally as women working in the mills. "After Selma," a documentary film about the Civil Rights Marches from Selma to Montgomery, Bloody Sunday, voting rights history, and voter repression. Speakers and community discussion to follow.
Joanne Bland, co-founder and former director of the National Voting Rights Museum in Selma, AL, will be the main presenter.
