ONLINE – History To Go | Upper Fifth Avenue Tour
MVHS will partner with Fifth Avenue Neighbors to showcase 8-10 sites along the upper north side corridor, covering more northern properties than our previous tours of Lower Fifth Avenue and the Crandall Park neighborhood. History To Go | Amazing History Race: Mahoning Valley
Participants in this year’s race will stay within the safety of their cars as they start and finish at Tyler History Center at 325 W. Federal Street in downtown Youngstown. Each vehicle team will be given separate clues to six historic sites around the Mahoning Valley. After finding each site in the order of their clue package, teams must safely take a photo with their smartphone. A virtual tour celebrates the centennial of the invention of the Good Humor Bar. Youngstown resident, Harry Burt, will be showcased at Tyler History Center, where Burt operated his iconic ice cream and candy-making operation. Other downtown sites associated with Harry Burt will also be featured. You don't have to register for this online event.
