Let the Tyler History Center’s knowledgeable and capable staff help make your event a success.
Available for weddings, social or corporate events, birthdays, retirement parties, or company retreats, the Thomas ballroom at the Tyler History Center provides you and your guests with an unforgettable experience as well as the opportunity to support the Historical Society’s educational programs and exhibitions.

Special discounts are available for MVHS members and non-profit organizations.

For a banquet or dinner party, it seats 140 with room for a dance floor, or up to 160 in a tighter table arrangement.  Theatre-style arrangement includes 200 seats with a screen.  Use of the facility includes:

  • tables and chairs
  • use of the kitchen
  • Hynes Mezzanine with bar and restrooms
  • set up &  staffing
  • parking
  • security
