Summer Hands-On History Open Houses to Begin at The Tyler History Center
Hands-On History open houses begin Wednesday, July 6th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown. Each week features a different local history theme, and includes immersive programs, arts and crafts, games, activities, toys and artifacts. The program runs every Wednesday through August 10. There is no cost to participate in the activities, museum tours will be offered during the open houses at half-price admission. Attendees will keep track of the programs they attend and can win prizes for attending. The first week kicks off with Native American Exploration. Other topics include Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War, Christmas in July, The First Ohioans, Youngstown Loves to Eat and the Magic of Music & Movies.
